Finally what many were expecting. The reissue of the classic albums by The Smashing Pumpkins will be reality. Through a video posted on the band's official facebook, Billy Corgan announced that it reached an agreement with EMI to bring out the reissue of all disks. The first step will be this year with the relaunch of Gish, Siamese Dream and Pisces Iscariot, then in 2012 with Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness The Aeroplane Flies High and Worship to end in 2012 with I Machina The Machines of God and (bombazo! ) Machina II The Friends and Enemies of Modern Music for the first time will be released commercially. Full details of the announcement and then Billy ...
This is part of what was announced by Billy in the video:
"The interesting thing is that we have arranged to do so in coordination with EMI, which is to create a digital box set ... The great thing about the rights we have secured is that we are able to put any of the things unpublished when we want, the way you want. We have to work with EMI, which is why it took so long to negotiate. So it's a great thing, you're thinking for the future and I'm excited ... You'll see all from free stuff belongs to us ... There are concerts, there are videos ... there are tons of things, and all we are sorting now. But the best part is that there is no doubt our ability to get things together and achieved, and I'm looking forward to getting reissued and remastered album to enter the great legacy of the band to a new generation ....
